Abstract

Campus is one of the places to pursue higher education for students where there are various activities. The high level of mobilization on campus requires every road user to uphold traffic safety. Therefore, it is necessary to do research on traffic safety analysis, especially in the campus environment. This research is included in the quantitative research approach Cross Sectional. The research sample used was 150 people. Data analysis techniques were carried out using univariate and bivariate methods. Presentation of data is done in the form of tables and narratives to interpret the results of the data that has been processed. The research results show that the p value for each variable the results show 0.476 for gender, 0.403 for driving experience, <0.001 for human error factors, 0.066 for vehicle factors, 0.241 for environmental factors and <0.001 for road factors. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the analysis of traffic safety on the Sriwijaya University campus is related to human error and road factors. Suggestions in this study are that the university can issue traffic rules on campus along with strict sanctions for violators, repair and improve infrastructure that supports traffic safety (traffic signs, speed bump, lighting and damaged roads), as well as improving the program safety riding on campus by providing socialization on safe traffic every year.
