Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of parents in stimulating positive behavior in children aged (5-6) years in the Lorok Pakjo, Palembang. In this study using a qualitative descriptive research type. The research subjects were two parents who had children aged (5-6) years in the Lorok Pakjo, Palembang. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used was Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis, namely data collection which included interviews, observation and documentation. Next reduce the data obtained from the field. The results of the study showed that the stimulation provided by parents stimulated the positive behavior of children aged (5-6) years by doing direct practice and habituation repeatedly, namely shaking hands by kissing hands, reading prayers, brushing teeth and throwing garbage in its place
