Abstract

Nutritional status is a description of the state of a person's body as a result of the intake of food consumed, the function of nutrients and the use of nutrients. The prevalence of nutritional status of adolescents based on the age of 16-18 years in Bangka Belitung with the underweight category is 8.56%, normal at 76.6% and the obese category at 15.38%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fruit and vegetable intake, physical activity with the nutritional status of school-age adolescents. This research included quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. Sampling in this study used the Simple Random Sampling method. Data was analyzed using SPSS with Chi Square Test. The results of the analysis stated that there was no significant relationship between fruit and vegetable consumption with student nutritional status (p-value 0.662) while in the variable physical activity with the nutritional status of SMA N 1 Belinyu students there was a significant relationship (p-value 0.028). The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between fruit and vegetable consumption variables and student nutritional status, on the contrary, there is a relationship between physical activity variables and nutritional status of SMA N 1 Belinyu students. Research suggestions, students are expected to increase fruit and vegetable intake and increase physical activity so that nutritional countermeasures can be carried out independently.
