Abstract

This study has the objective of knowing the suitability of the asessment made by high school biology teachers in the context of Higher Order Tinking Skills (HOTS). The research used descriptive-qualitative method with a sample of 18 high school biology teachers from six state senior high schools in Palembang. Methods of data collection are documentation of Semester Mid Test asessment, and interviews with Biology Teachers in classes X, XI, and XII. Data were analyzed by descriptive method of multiple choice questions and essay. The results showed that the biology of multiple choice asessment has conformity with HOTS or C4, C5, and C6 levels of Bloom's Taxonomy Revision is only 3.78%, while the essay is only 7.59%. Thus it is concluded that the suitability of Biology asessment made by Biology teacher in six State Senior High School of Palembang is still in very bad category.
