Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa besar pengaruh jarak, waktu serta tegangan yang di gunakan pada proses elektroplating. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan tujuan mengetahui sebab akibat berdasarkan perlakuan yang diberikan.Penelitian ini menggunakan autan khuss yaitu aluminium klorida 12% dan 24%. Waktu yang digunakan adalah 10 menit dan 20 menit, tegangan listrik yaitu 6volt, 9volt, dan 12volt, serta jarak yang digunakan adalah 10mm dan 20mm. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif komperatif. Hasil Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tegangan, konsentrasi larutan, dekatnya jarak, serta lamanya waktu yang digunakan, maka akan semakin bagus pula hasil dari proses electroplating pada logam tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses penambahan berat baja mencapai 0,4 gram terjadi pada waktu 20 menit, dengan jarak 10mm, dan tegangan 12 volt, serta larutan yang digunakan yaitu aluminium klorida 24%.
