Abstract

Serat nano polyvinilpirolidon/selulosa asetat (PVP/SA) yang mengandung ekstrak daun binahong telah berhasil disintesis menggunakan metode electrospinning. Serat nano polyvinilpirolidon/selulosa asetat yang mengandung ekstrak daun binahong dibuat dengan konsentrasi 6%, 11% dan 16% dengan variasi massa larutan ekstrak daun binahong yaitu 0,1 gr, 0,2 gr dan 0,3 gr. Serat nano tersebut kemudian dikarakterisasi meliputi morfologi bentuk, interaksi molekul atau gugus polimer dan struktur kristalnya. Hasil SEM menunjukkan bentuk serat nano yang dihasilkan seragam dan bebas bead (manik-manik) dengan rentang ukuran 150-350 nm. Peningkatan konsentasi larutan ekstrak daun binahong menyebabkan mengecilnya diameter serat nano yang dihasilkan. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi molekul antara ekstrak daun binahong dengan polyvinilpirolidon dan selulosa asetat dalam bentuk ikatan hidrogen. Pada uji XRD, ekstrak daun binahong berfase kristal.
