Abstract

Calf starter is a feed that is devoted to calves, useful for getting calves to consume solid feed and accelerate weaning. This study aims to study profil of local calf chemical blood fed with indigofera calf starter fortified with black soldier fly maggot. This research was conducted in November 2019 at the Animal Science. Data were analyzed by using a Paired Sample T-Test with 2 treatment duplo. The treatment were P0 = cow’s milk, P1 = cow’s milk + calf starter. The parameters observed were ureum, creatinin, uric acid and blood glucose profiles. The result showed that urea, creatinine and uric acid levels had no effect (P>0,05), and blood glucose levels affect (P<0,05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that calf starter feed is good to be used as additional feed for calves. Keyword: Local Calf, Ureum, Creatinine, Uric Acid, Glucose.
