Abstract
The spread of the tuberculosis virus (TB) has become an endemic for countries in the world. This study discusses the mathematical modeling analysis of TB spread when the system applies the Directly Observe Treatment Shortcourse (DOTS) strategy. The DOTS strategy is a treatment system that is carried out by which patients take medication regularly and under supervision, as an effort to increase the cure rate. The aim of this research is to analyze the stability properties, get a graphic representation, get the best proportion of treatment and get the number of patients who need to recover. The reproduction number (R_0 ) is the expected number of infected individuals (infectious individuals) in the suspectible subpopulation. If (R_0>1) indicates endemic, it will become epidemic and (R_0<1) indicates that it is not endemic. R_0 is formulated when the proportion of treatment class approaches 100%. Estimating the proportion of treatment classes can provide information that at least the number of infect and symptom individuals must recover after undergoing treatment so that the spread of TB remains in a stable state.
