Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah pada materi persamaan garis lurus. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas VIII.7 SMP Negeri 10 Palembang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes didukung oleh wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil tes didapat persentase representasi Verbal sebesar 56.3%, representasi Visual sebesar 37,5% dan representasi simbolik sebesar 92%. Dari persentase tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII.7 SMP Negeri 10 Palembang dikategorikan baik.
