Abstract

This research aims to see an implementation guidance notes of CEDAW and COVID-19 in France handling domestic violence cases that occurred in women during the COVID-19 pandemic. High levels of domestic violence during the pandemic made the CEDAW committee as an international convention that aims to eliminate any form of discrimination against women, release some of recommendation to all state parties have an obligation to ensure that measures taken to address the COVID-19 pandemic do not directly or indirectly discriminate against women. This research supported by international regime theory and implementasi regime with qualitative descriptive methods relating to data collected by relevant literature. The final results of this research aimed that the government, women group, and non-state organization have made considerable efforts to protect domestic violence victim during the pandemic and social distancing by improving communication with the victims also dissemination information regarding about emergency number.
