Abstract

The Objective of this research vvas to identify potency and inhibitant of ruminants livestock develOpment conceming pasture availability and labours and analizyng the priority of mminants goverment livestock agency in Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan South Sumatera. This study was done ffom Januari to Februari 2007. Calculation method used effective capacity calculation of mminants population improvement (Livestock Directorate General, 1998). The resuit showed that value for effective capacity of mminants population (KPPTR) in Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan was positive about 205364,34 ST. Main priority the developing of mminants livestock area in Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan are Banding Agung, Muara Dua, Buay Pemaca, Pulau Beringin, Simpang, Buay Runjung, Buay Sandang Aji, Muaradua Kisam, Kisam Tinggi and Mekakau Ilir.
