Abstract

The research of influence of glucose and zeolite to charasteristic of catalytic composite of zeolite-carbon sulfonic was done. Heterogeneous catalysts based on sulfonate carbon was made by mixing glucose and zeolit with ratio composition 1:3, 1:2, 1: 1,2: 1 and 3: 1. Carbonisation procces was done at 400°C during 15 hours and followed sulfonated by using sulfuric acid during 4 hours at 175°C. The result of catalytic on esterification reaction glacial asetat acid and ethanol showed that composition 1:3 has highest yield ettyl acetat of 91.294%. Analysis data GCMS showed the mayor product of esterification reaction was a ethyl asetat (C4II8O2) vvilth molccular at m/z 88 . The highest sum acidity value us mucli as 9.4 mmol/g strenghted that 1:3 composition was the best composition. Characteritation of catalyst by using SEM-EDX and FT-IR spectrofotometer. SEM-EDK analyst showed solface topology of zeolit was conted by sulfonatecarbon wich showed with vibaration of sulfur at 2.307 keV. FT-IR spetra showed a vibration of sulfonate group (-SO3H) at wave number 1080 cm was active side catalyst. Based on the research it can be concluded that the catalytic composite of zeolite-carbon sulfonic can be used in the esterification reaction and showed the optimal catalytic activity. The more glucose as carbon source. the catalvtic activitv will increase.
