Abstract

Coal mining activities in general are digging, loading and hauling activities. However, not a few coal mining companies that use the blasting system both to provide rock cover and coal. PT. Dahana (Persero) is a company engaged in the provision of blasting services (Blasting service). One project PT.Dahana (Persero) is located in South Kalimantan precisely in PT Adaro Indonesia engaged in coal mining. Fragmentation of blasting results is important to note because the impact of heterogeneous size and large size will affect the productivity of the digging tool used. The powder factor used in the blasting process during the study with an average of eight explosions of 0.15 kg / ton, this Powder factor has a decrease from the usual circumstances ranging from 0,17 kg/ton to 0.21 kg / ton. The blasting results with the powder factor were calculated as actual fragmentation distrbusi by using split desktop 2.0 software and calculated time of excavation as well as time of Komatsu PC 2000. Percentage of size more than 60 cm by 28.67%. This fragmentation affects digging time and cycle time of unloading equipment proved by linear regeneration result, correlation y = 0,1332x + 9,4084 with correlation R² = 0,8333 with time highest reach 15 second when fragmentation> 60 cm has percentage more than 30 %. This is also seen in the Cycle time and fragmentation graphs> 60 cm has correlation y = 0.1666x + 25,428 with correlation R2 = 0,8626 with highest cycle time 30-32 sec when fragmentation> 60cm exceed 30%. This of course has an impact on the productivity of the loading tool seen from the correlation y = -4,6653x + 972,44 with corelation R2 = 0,864. The greater the percentage of fragmentation> 60 cm the lower the productivity. Percentage fragmentation> 60 cm smallest by 19.1% with productivity of 889.15 bcm and vice versa for percentage of> 60 cm bigest fragment of 35.96% then productivity decreased to 791.99 bcm. This shows that fragmentation has a big effect on the productivity of Komatsu Excavator PC 2000.
