Abstract
The objective of this research is to know the best level of using palm fronds amoniation to the NDF, ADF, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and silica. This research was done in two process. The first process was producing palm fronds amoniation in Laboratory of Nutritive and Animal Feed, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. The second process was Van Soest analysed of palm fronds amoniation in Laboratory Nutritive of Ruminant and Chemical Feed, Animal Husbandry Faculty, Padjajaran University, Bandung. This research used Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatment and 5 replications, include PO (control), P1 (palm fronds 1 kg + urea 2%), P2 (palm fronds 1 kg + urea 4%) and P3 (palm fronds 1 kg + urea 6%), every treatment added with poultry manure 15% of palm fronds dry weigh. The parameters examined were NDF, ADF, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and silica. The result of this research showed that the treatment resulted significantly differences to NDF, ADF, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and silica. The conclusion of this research is treatment with urea addition 4% give the best result in palm fronds amoniation.
