Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the giving responsed of organic fertilizers, sulphur and its interaction to the content of sistin amino and metioinine acids of king grass. This study was held in two phases, the first phase was the planting of the King Grass in the Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Sapi Dwiguna dan Ayam Sembawa (BPTU) at Sembawa km.29 Bayuasin Regency, South Sumatera. The second phase was the analysis using the HPLC technique held in Sei Putih Goat Raised Reaserch Place, Medan. The study used the factorial biock random design with two factors as treatments, they are organic fertilizers and sulphur. The first factor was organic fertilizer contains of this level ; 0 ton/ha (KO), 5 ton/ha (Kl) and 10 ton/ha (K2). The second factor was sulphur with four levels, that are ; 0 kg/ha (S0), 30 kg/ha (SI), 60 kg/ha (S2) and 90 kg/ha (S3). The treatments combination amount was 12 with 3 groups, therefore obtained 36 trials unit. The collected data was examined by using the variety analysis and to observe the difference used Least Significant Difference Test. The parameter to be observed were the content of sistin and metionine. This research result showed that sulphur treatment gave significantly (P<0,05) to the content of sistin and metionine. The conclusion of this study is that the treatment of sulphur 60 kg S/ha gives the best influence to the sistin content and sulphur treatment 90 kg S/ha gave the best influence to the metionine content in the king grass. The giving of organic fertilizer and its interaction did not influence the content of sistin and metionine in the king grass.
