Abstract
The implementation of food processing technology is very important for livestock in fulfilling their nutritional value to reduce food shortage. One of feed materials that come from farm’s side product is blood meal. Blood meal has disadvantage in its processing method and its use value is also low. This can be solved by performing absorbent technique which utilizes agricultural waste and fermentation process. This research aimed to acquire the best inoculant type in blood meal fermentation process with rice bran towards the change in nutritional value using proximate analysis. This research compared the treatments of 2 different inoculant types, they are P1: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and P2: Lactobacillus plantarum. The result of nutrition content t-test of blood meal was absorbed. The research result showed that the use of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Lactobacillus plantarum had no significantly different effect (P>0,05) towards change in nutritional value of blood meal with rice bran absorbent according to the proximate analysis. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the fermentation of blood meal with rice bran absorbent can use Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Lactobacillus plantarum bacteria as inoculants by producing the same nutritional value.
