Abstract

Meeting the needs of health facilities in Lahat Regency is realized by the construction of new health facilities. With so many existing health facilities, the number of health workers needed is still very low. In fulfilling this health workforce, more health school graduates are needed who can work in Lahat Regency. So, with the existence of the College of Health Sciences in Lahat Regency, it can produce health graduates who can help meet the needs of health workers in this regency. The purpose of this planning and design is to produce a building design for the College of Health Sciences that maximizes space efficiency and facilitates the achievement of space. This goal was obtained to answer design problems in maximizing space utilization and the need for easy access between spaces in facilitating the teaching and learning process. Design is related to spatial planning, building mass arrangement, and building form based on the function of the building. The site center is functioned as a communal space that can be used by building users. The vertical arrangement of space is carried out based on the level of privacy of the space, the higher you go, the more private of the zone. Then in the fulfillment of access between building masses that is easily realized by providing a skybridge as a liaison between buildings that have interrelated activities.
