Abstract

THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN INTRODUCING THE LETTERS OF THE ALPHABET FOR CHILDREN AGED (5-6) YEARS OLD DURING PANDEMIC IN THE FAMILY ALWAYS By Dian Rezi Saputri NIM : 06141181823014 Supervisor : Dra. Rukiyah M.Pd Teacher education for early childhood education ABSRACT This study aims to describe the role of parents in introducing the letters of the alphabet to children aged (5-6) years during the pandemic in the family hall. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with 3 research subjects for research techniques, data researchers use observation, interviews, documentation, then reduces data from the field, presents data in the form of short narratives, and draws conclusions. Researchers used 3 research subjects, namely parents who have children aged (5-6) years in the family hall. The results showed that the role of parents in introducing letters during a pandemic is as follows: the role of parents in teaching children to introduce letters is in the form of educating children, guiding children, disciplining children and supporting children in the learning process from home, during the pandemic. the lack of face-to-face learning in schools, so here the role of parents is needed by children during the learning process because children need the role of their parents and also support from family and the surrounding environment. With the role of parents and support around the child, it gives encouragement so that children are more diligent in learning, especially learning to introduce letters.
