Abstract

This study aims to determine the botanical composition and nutritional value of swamp forage in Sejaro Sakti Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was carried out from March to August 2022 in the swampland of Sejaro Sakti Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, and the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used is the systematic method of halls, which is random throwing using a quadrant of size 1 m2 in forage sampling. Samples were taken from as many as 30 snippets in Sejaro Sakti Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The observed parameters are the botanical composition and nutritional content. The results of this study show the botanical composition of swampland in Sejaro Sakti Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, namely Grass 66,66%; Legumes 22,22% and other plants 11,11%. Swampland in Sejaro Sakti Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, has 9 vegetation species, namely Caesalvinia sp. 32.50% Nymphaea 22.90%; Salvinia molesta 16.91%; Eichornia crassipes 6.11%; Oryza rufipogon 4.92%; Neptunia oleracea 4.84%; Eleocharis dulcis 4.80%; Hymenachne amplexicaulis 3.70% and Spirogyra sp. 3,32%. The best forage in the swampland of Sejaro Sakti Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency to be used as animal feed, namely Kemon Air with a crude protein content of 22.97%.
