Abstract

The activity of using electricity will continue to increase, this is related to the level of development and the increasing number of residents in an area or region. One of the efforts made in meeting these needs is to maintain the quality of the electricity distribution process so that it remains good. In the electricity distribution system, the amount of voltage and electrical power that is distributed is not the same as that received so that it will have an impact on economic losses during the distribution process. Therefore, a study was conducted to analyze the magnitude of the voltage drop and power losses that occurred in the Lakitan substation Kambang UP3 Padang feeder by using the manual calculation method and then comparing the values obtained with the standard limits that have been set. Based on the calculation results obtained from the Lakitan feeder with a length of 21,502 km, the power losses that occur are 17,249.9738 Watts or 17.25 kW and the voltage drop that occurs is 273.811 V with a percentage of 1.39%. The power losses and voltage drops are still within the standard limits set by PT. PLN (Persero) according to SPLN 1: 1995 concerning the standard limit for the voltage drop in the distribution system of 20 kV and with the smallest power loss values.
