Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the digestibility of Palm Pressed Fiber by Multilevel Amoniation. This research was held in laboratory of Arumal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from February to April 2013. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications which palm pressed fiber without amoniation (control), palm pressed fiber + 4% urea (P•). multilevel amoniation palm pressed fiber (P2). Observed parameters were dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), N-ammonia concentration, and Volatile Fatty Acid concentration (VFA). All data was measured by Duncan Multi Range Test (DMRT). This research showed that multilevel amoniation had dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), Volatile Fatty Acid concentration (VFA), higher than 4 % ammoniation and without ammoniation.
