Abstract

This research objective was to examine microscopic semen quality on bull that given the somatrotopin hormone (bST). This research was implemented in August November 2012 to March 2013 at The Regional Laboratory Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Artificial Insemination Center (BIB) South Sumatra. The research used 3 heads of cattle aged over 10 years were maintained at BIB South Sumatra. 3 bull given treatment with injected somatrotopin (BST) 500 Mg / 7 day. Before the first treatment done taking fresh cement as control. Parameters observed voleme,colour,consistensi,ph semen. This result showed that Injection somatrotopin hormone (bST) 500 mg / 7 day on bull did not affect the quality of bulls semen macroscopic.
