Abstract

With the development of the times, the ways in which people meet the needs of the media are also developing. The development of the need for media is clearly visible with the development of music streaming applications. The music streaming application itself is an application that provides various music needs for all circles, one of the most famous music streaming applications and currently occupies 31% of the world music streaming market share is the Spotify music streaming application. Each music streaming application has its own differences, especially the Spotify application, which makes researchers interested in researching "Student Opinions Regarding the Perceived Quality of Spotify Music Streaming Application Products". This study aims to examine how the opinions of users of this Spotify application on the quality provided by the Spotify application, by looking at the perceptions of Spotify application users, especially students of Communication Studies at Sriwijaya University Batch 2018 using the theory of perceived quality. This research is also a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques used in this study were in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation techniques. The results of his research found various perceptions of the 5 informants interviewed, including several elements of the theory of perceived quality, namely performance, features, conformances with specifications, reliability, serviceability, and fit and finish. All perceptions from informants regarding each of these elements are very diverse and good for the spotify application.
