Abstract

Konsep himpunan merupakan hal penting yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan materi himpunan sendiri telah dipelajari sejak sekolah dasar dan menjadi salah satu materi prasyarat untuk mempelajari materi lain di jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsepsi siswa SMA IT Bina Ilmi Palembang terhadap materi himpunan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan instrumen tes terhadap 30 sampel siswa kelas X yang diambil menggunakan teknik purpossive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode CRI. Dari hasil analisis data didapatkan hasil bahwa 64% siswa paham konsep dalam konsep himpunan, 10% siswa mengalami lucky guess, 8% siswa mengalami kurang pengetahuan dan 19% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi. Subbab materi yang konsepnya paling banyak dipahami siswa adalah materi operasi gabungan, paling banyak lucky guess pada materi operasi selisih, paling banyak kurang pengetahuan pada materi operasi komplemen, dan paling banyak miskonsepsi pada materi himpunan bagian.
