Abstract

This research was carried out from August to September 2022 at the Experimental Cage of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, and blood samples were analyzed at the Sriwijaya University Health Clinic laboratory. This study aims to determine the effect of Blood Cholesterol Levels and Abdominal Fat of KUB Chicken by Giving Turmeric Flour on Rations and Black Pepper Capsules which are directly pumped to KUB chickens on Triglyceride Levels, Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and the percentage of KUB chicken abdominal fat. This study used 50 KUB chickens obtained from Aji Farm Jl Irrigation Palembang. This study used descriptive method and complete random design method (RAL) with 5 treatments and 5 tests. This treatment consists of R0 (Basal Ration Administration (Ration Without Turmeric Flour)), R1 (Ration Administration with the Addition of Turmeric Flour (0.4 gr / Head / Day)), R2 (Ration Feeding with the Addition of Turmeric Flour 0.4 gr / Head / Day) and 1 Black Pepper Capsule (0.2gr / Head / Day)), R3 (Ration Feeding with the Addition of Turmeric Flour 0.4 gr / Head / Day) and 2 Black Pepper Capsules (0.4gr / Head / Day)), R4 (Ration Administration with the Addition of Turmeric Flour 0.4 gr / Head / Day) and 3 Black Pepper Capsules (0.6gr / Tail / Day)) The changes observed include triglycerides, blood cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and abdominal fat percentage. The results showed that the treatment of triglycerides was still relatively high, namely 537 mg / dl-1144 mg / dl. The treatment of cholesterol levels is relatively normal, namely 114-162 mg / dl. The treatment of HDL is relatively low, namely 12-25.5 mg / dl. The treatment of LDL in this study was not detected, but in the R2 and R4 perpetrators detected, namely R2 25 mg / dL and R4 6.2 mg / dL the results were relatively low. The treatment of abdominal fat did not have a noticeable effect (P>0.05).
