Abstract

This study was to determine the digestibility quality of palm frond powder silage and rice bran supplemented with vitamin B complex 2% and mineral mix 2% in vitro. This research was carried out from August to September 2022 at the Experimental Cage Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and conducted an analysis at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study was conducted using a complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 tests including silage of palm frond powder and rice bran as (P0), silage of palm frond powder and rice bran supplemented by mineral mix 2% (P1), silage of palm frond powder and rice bran which is supplemented by vitamin B complex 2% (P2). This study can be concluded that supplementation of vitamin B Complex at a dose of 2% and Mineral Mix at a dose of 2% could increase the digestibility value of Hemicellulose from 53.05% (P0) to 75.56% (P2).
