Abstract

Sawi huma or known as Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) was one of the leaf vegetables that has high economic value. In some places in Indonesia, in general the productivity of pakcoy plants were still very low. This can be caused by several factors, namely cultivation techniques that have not been intensive by farmers, climate factors and low soil fertility. Efforts that can be made to increase crop production were by manipulating sunlight by using UV LED lights or growing light. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of three types of UV LED lights on the growth of Pakcoy plants. This research was conducted from November to December 2018. This study used descriptive data and the presentation of data in the form of tables and graphs. The parameters used were plant growth, percentage of plant growth (%), temperature (ºC), relative humidity (%), and power requirements (W). The results showed that the C (LED grow light hydroponic plant) lamp had the best pakcoy plant growth with a plant height of 67.5 mm, a plant weight of 1.19 g, a number of leaves of 5 strands, an average temperature of 32.1 ºC, the average humidity was 80%, and the power requirements during the pakcoy growth process were 31.84 Watts.
