Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan daya biodegradabilitas dari plastik biodegradable berbasis pati daluga dan pati ubi kayu. Penelitian dilaksanakan secara eksperimental laboratorium dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA (Rancangan Acak Kelompok). Pembuatan plastik biodegradable di sini dilakukan dengan 5 formulasi berbeda berdasarkan rasio pati daluga dan pati ubi kayu (100%:0%, 75%:25%, 50%:50%, 25%:75%, 0%:100%). Sifat plastik biodegradable yang diuji meliputi ketebalan, kuat tarik, daya serap air dan biodegradabilitas. Hasil tersebut disajikan dalam tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rentang ketebalan adalah 0.21-0.44 mm, kuat tarik 265.64-272.54 MPa, daya serap air 69.15-72.34 % dan biodegradabilitas 61.34-72.61 %. Adapun rasio pati daluga dan pati ubi kayu yang menggunakan 100% pati daluga ditetapkan sebagai formulasi terbaik berdasarkan ketebalan, kuat tarik dan nilai biodegradabilitas
