Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work stress on the performance of employees of AJB Bumiputera 1912 Palembang Branch Office. The population in this study were employees of AJB Bumiputera 1912 Palembang Branch Office, totaling 54 people. The data collection technique used was a census by distributing questionnaires to 54 employees. This study uses primary data obtained from questionnaires and the analysis technique used is simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that work stress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance at AJB Bumiputera 1912 Palembang Branch Office. Suggestions that can be given in this study is to be able to complete the payment of pending customer claims, so that employees do not get continuous pressure from customers.
