Abstract

The title of this research is the Strategy of Marketing Communication Through Social Media Instagram @ pempeksulthan_pindangagan which aims to find out how the strategy of marketing communication through Instagram @pempeksulthan_pindangagan is. The method for this research is a qualitative method. The problem in this research is how does Pempek Sulthan apply the strategy of marketing communication through Instagram to attract buyers by utilizing the features on Instagram. This research explores data through three informants that consist of key informants that are Sulthan Pempek’s Leader, Sulthan's Pempek Instagram Admin, and an informant who is a buyer and follower of Sulthan's Pempek instagram and has received a promo from Pempek Sulthan. Collecting data in this research used a deep interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of this research indicated that Sulthan's Pempek marketing communication strategy through Instagram is good enough because they always upload promos via Instagram using Instagram features like as feeds, Instagram stories, business accounts, swipe ups, comments. Moreover, the promo which is offered is various, such as discounts, quizzes, prizes, and free iftar, so the people are interested in buying Sulnthan's Pempek. Supporting factors for the success of marketing communication activities is the interesting contents so the information which is conveyed by Sulthan's Pempek Instagram is conveyed properly.
