Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not the influence of the closed eyes visualize model on the ability to write poetry text in class X MAN 2 Palembang. The method used in this study is quasi-experiment. This research sample uses two classes that already exist, namely class X MIA 3 consisting of 30 students as an experimental class applying the closed eyes visualize model and class X MIA 1 consisting of 30 students as a control class applying the direct learning model. Data collection techniques using test techniques. Furthermore, applies t-test calculations using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study indicate differences in the results of the experimental class and the control class. The average value of the experimental class for the initial test was 60.9 and the final test was 83.77. The average value of the control class for the initial test was 63 and the final test was 71.83. The results of the t-test calculations proved that 4,770> ttable 2,002 with df 58 for a 95% success rate (α = 0.025). This difference shows the results of the ability to write experimental class poetry texts more high increase. Based on the hypothesis "there is a difference in the ability to write poetry texts using the closed eyes visualize model and the direct learning model" is acceptable.
