Abstract

This study aimed to prove the effect of interest in learning on student learning activities in online learning economic subjects at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. This study used a quantitative approach with the type of associative research. The population of this research was all class XI IPS in SMA Negeri 10 Palembang, totaling 201 people. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. The instrument validation used the Product Moment Correlation formula and the reliability test uses the Spearman Brown formula. Sampling used the Cluster Random Sampling technique, namely class XI IPS 3, totaling 40 people. Data on variable X (Interest in online learning) and variable Y (Online learning activity) used a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the online learning interest data that was obtained was categorized as good with a percentage of 80.85% and learning activity is categorized as good with a percentage of 70.92%. The hypothesis used parametric statistics, namely the t-test, is obtained that tcount = 41.103 ttable = 1.697, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there was an influence of interest in learning on student learning activities in online learning economic subjects at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. It is recommended for students to develop themselves in learning and teachers can motivate students more in growing the desire to increase interest in learning by staying active in participating in online learning activities.
