Abstract
Iron deficiency anemia is the most common anemia in pregnancy because there is not enough iron to form hemoglobin. One of the factors that can influence the occurrence of anemia in pregnancy is husband's support. This study aims to determine the relationship of husband's support in consuming Fe tablets to the incidence of anemia in pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic in the work area of the Bandar Jaya Health Center. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design and using purposive sampling technique in sampling. The sample of this study was pregnant women who received Fe tablets and visited the Bandar Jaya Health Center which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 88 respondents. Bivariate analysis using chi-square test and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression risk factor model. The results of this study indicate that from 88 respondents there are (75%) pregnant women who experience anemia with less husband support as much as (65.9%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between husband's support (p=0.000) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women and multivariate results showed that there was a relationship between husband's support and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women after being controlled by the variables of adherence to consuming Fe tablets, education, and income. with p-value (0.007) (95% CI = 5.664 (1.626- 19.724). The results of this study are expected to be the basis for husbands to care more about their wives during pregnancy and health services can create programs that can support reducing anemia rates in pregnant women.
