Abstract

This study aims to detennine how much the level of effectiveness of local tax revenue, regional retribution and its contribution to increasing the original revenue of Palembang city in 2012-2016. Whereas the city of Palembang for the last 5 years has always held international events which certainly have an effect on the revenue growth of the region's original Palembang city. The data examined in this study are the Regional Taxes and levies of Palembang City as well as the Regional Revenue in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 namely realization data and targets. The results of this study are, for the level of effectiveness of local taxes during 2012-2016 is always categorized as very effective. The contribution of local taxes to the original revenue of Palembang City in 2012-2016 is always very good. The level of effectiveness of the Palembang city levy in 2012-2016 tends to be ineffective because it is only 1 year effective and always decreases. The contributjon of Palembang's regional levies to regional revenues in 2012-2016 can be said to be less.
