Abstract

Television characters in audio and visual form are the advantages of television in order to provide an effective emphasis on a message delivered (Kantanto and Apriandi 2019:8). A television program will usually contain the theme of what television station is being watched, there are various types of themes from television stations in Indonesia. But in general it is only divided into two, namely the theme of information (news) and entertainment. The television station that gets the highest audience enthusiasm will occupy the top rank of television market share in Indonesian society, but here researchers will take Indosiar as the object of research, because Indosiar has core news programs, namely Patrol and Focus. Researchers want to know how the strategy in the production process of news programs on Indosiar television stations. News production material is determined by the Chief Editor (Pimred). The 24-hour Chief of Staff acts directly as an evaluator of the news program production strategy at Indosiar. If there are errors in program production, especially when the program receives warnings from KPIs or calls from other parties. Pimred will investigate further, whether it was an unintentional error or human error. Keywords: Program Production Strategy, Indosiar, Patrol, Focus Karakter televisi yang berbentuk audio dan visual menjadi keunggulan televisi agar dapat memberikan penekanan yang efektif dalam sebuah pesan yang disampaikan (Kantanto dan Apriandi 2019:8). Tayangan sebuah televisi biasanya akan berisi tema dari stasiun televisi apa yang sedang di tonton, ada beragam jenis tema dari stasiun televisi di Indonesia. Namun pada umumnya hanya terbagi dua yakni tema informasi (berita) dan Hiburan. Stasiun televisi yang mendapatkan antusiasme penonton tertinggi akan menempati urutan tingkat atas pangsa pasar televisi yang ada di masyarakat Indonesia, namun disini peneliti akan mengambil Indosiar sabagai objek penelitian, dikarenakan Indosiar memiliki program acara berita inti, yakni Patroli dan Fokus. Peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana strategi dalam proses produksi program berita di stasiun televisi Indosiar. Materi produksi berita sangat ditentukan oleh para Pimpinan Redaksi (Pimred). Pimred 24 jam bertindak langsung dalam evaluator strategi produksi program berita di Indosiar. Jika terdapat sebuah kesalahan dalam produksi program, apalagi saat sebuah program mendapatkan teguran dari KPI atau Somasi dari pihak lain. Pimred akan menelisik lebih jauh, apakah itu kesalahan yang tidak disengaja atau terdapat human eror. Kata Kunci: Strategi Produksi Program, Indosiar, Patroli, Fokus
