Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan efikasi diri dengan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Adapun jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 605 peserta didik dan sampel sebanyak 86 peserta didik dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala efikasi diri dan skala keterampilan komunikasi yang disebar secara langsung. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus Pearson Product Moment pada aplikasi SPSS versi 16.0. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh sebagian besar peserta didik memiliki efikasi diri dominan berada pada kategori rendah yaitu 31 peserta didik sedangkan pada variabel keterampilan komunikasi dominan berada berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 32 peserta didik selanjutnya di peroleh koefisien korelasinya sebesar r_xy = 0,559 yang dimana r_hitung = 0,559 > r_tabel 0,214 sehingga hipotesis penelitian Ha diterima, yaitu terdapat hubungan positif antara efikasi diri dengan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 10 Palembang yang artinya semakin tinggi efikasi diri maka semakin tinggi pula keterampilan komunikasi.
