Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of using YouTube on students' learning behavior in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. This research is a type of One Group Pretest Post Test design. The population in this study were all class XI IPS SMA Negeri 10 Palembang and the sample in this study was class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class totaling 41 students. This study used data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and observation. Learning behavior data were obtained from a learning behavior questionnaire given to the experimental class and analysis of observational data obtained from observations when using YouTube media in learning. The hypothesis test was carried out using the paired sample t test formula, obtained t_count>t_table, namely 3.129 > 1.6838, which means that H_O is rejected, H_a is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of using YouTube on students' learning behavior in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. It is expected that educators can add innovation in the use of media in learning and optimize the use of YouTube media so that students can be more active in participating in learning and improve all indicators of student learning behavior, especially the habit of participating in learning.
