Abstract

The purpose of this study to identify the social interaction of children aged (5-6) years in Siantar Marihat District, Pematangsiantar City. The researched method used a qualitative descriptive research type. The subjects of this study were two children and two parents who had children aged (5-6) years. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used was Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis which included collecting data from interviews, observations, and further documentation using the results obtained from the field, presenting the data in the form of short narratives and drawing conclusions. The results proved that children's social interactions when using gadgets provide an explanation that the first child's social interactions are delaying and not caring about parents and then miserly, easy to get along with, good communication with friends. The second child has social interactions that harshly to his friends, helping and obeying parental rules.
