Abstract
ABSTRACT : This research aims to determine the levels of lead (II) and lead (IV) metal ion species by potentiometric methods using concentration cells and study the distribution of lead (II) and lead (IV) metal ions in the waters of Teluk Gelam Lake. The results showed the linear regression equation for metal ion of lead (II) y = 4.9162x+0.4 while lead (IV) y = 6.1105x+0.88 with R2 values 0.9995 and 0.9992, respectively. ; detection limit at 0.024 mg/L and 0.033 mg/L; quantization limit 0.025 mg/L and 0.033 mg/L; accuracy 92,44 % and 84,58 %; precision 0.04% and 0.07%. The distribution of lead (II) showed the same trend at each station with a value of 0.03 ppm. The distribution of lead (IV) shows unequal levels at each station. The highest levels of lead (IV) were at station 1, namely 0.106 ppm and 0.092 ppm at station 2. Keywords: Potentiometry, Lead (II) and Lead (IV) metal ions, Distribution
