Abstract

Pukat hela yang dioperasikan di perairan pesisir Banyuasin tidak sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Nomor 18 Tahun 2021. Meskipun demikian, nelayan di pesisir Banyuasin masih tetap mengoperasikan alat tangkap pukat hela. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi, faktor, dan sikap nelayan Desa Pesisir Banyuasin terhadap peraturan penempatan alat tangkap pukat hela. Jumlah sampel ditentukan menggunakan Nomogram Harry King. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan kuesioner. Analisa data dilakukan secara deskriptif menggunakan rentang skala, dan analisa komponen utama. Hasil penelitian mendapati persepsi nelayan pada aspek pengetahuan tergolong cukup, pada aspek kesadaran dan minat tergolong tinggi terhadap peraturan penempatan alat tangkap pukat hela. Faktor usia produktif (15 – 64 tahun) adalah faktor paling signifikan terhadap persepsi nelayan. Solusi atau saran yang di sampaikan nelayan meliputi pengadaan alat tangkap alternatif, edukasi wilayah tangkapan, dan sanksi yang tegas.
