Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the excranization process that appears in events, plots, settings, themes, shops, and character traits found in the novel KKN Di Desa Penari by Simpleman to the film KKN Di Desa Penari directed by Awi Suryadi and its Implications for Learning Indonesian Literature in senior high school. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The data source for this research is the novel KKN Di Desa Penari by Simpleman, published by PT. Cipta Creative Book, Jakarta in 2019 totaling 256 pages. The film KKN di Desa Penari directed by Awi Suryadi which is produced by MD Pictures and Pichouse Films in 2022 with a duration of 130 minutes. Techniques for collecting the data used reading, watching, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study show that there are (1) Shrinking 12 events,2 characters, and 4 settings (2) Addition, 34 events,2 characters, and 9 settings (3) Variation Change. 9 events,2 characters, and 3 settings . Key Words: Excranization, Novel, Film.
