Abstract

This Research aimed to examine the effect of Solvency (Capital Adequancy Ratio, Debt To Equity Ratio, Debt To Assets Ratio and Non Performing Loan) to profitability (Return on Assets andReturn on Equity) in state-owned banking listed on indonesia stock exchange 2013 – 2018. The data used in this study was obtained from secondary data. Secondary data in this study is financial statement in website of each state-owned banking during 2013 – 2018 periods. The sample study data consisted of 4 state-owned banking is Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Mandiri and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN). Analysis techniques used is statistics method with data processing program namely Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 2.3. Result of analysis showed that CAR & DER partialy doesnt have significant impact on ROA & ROE, but DER & NPL partialy have negative and significant impact on ROA & ROE. The implication of this study are as a consideration of debt management to produce maximum profitability for banking.
