Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the probability of increasing the income of women as housewives in case studies of micro-enterprises in the city of Palembang. The independent variables in this research are the level of training, length of school, marriage status, number of dependents, and age. This research was conducted in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. This research uses primary data with a sample of 107 respondents. The method used in this analysis was the binary logistic regression by using E-views 9.0. The results show that the level of training and age had significant and positive effect on the opportunities to increase women's income as housewives in micro businesses in Palembang City. Meanwhile, the variables of marriage status and number of dependents had a negative and insignificant effect on the opportunity to increase women's income. For the length of school variable, it has a positive but not significant effect on the opportunity to increase women's income as housewives in micro businesses in Palembang City.
