Abstract

Nutritional disorders in toddlers can cause growth and development disorders to mental development disorders. Unbalanced nutritional intake can cause nutritional problems so it is necessary to increase maternal knowledge about nutrition. Mother's knowledge about balanced nutrition can affect the mother's ability to choose the right, nutritious, and varied food ingredients that do not cause disease. The purpose of this writing is to provide family nursing care to mothers who have toddlers by using video media to increase knowledge about balanced nutrition guidelines. The method used with qualitative descriptive method with case study approach. The results of the study in the three managed families obtained a nursing diagnosis, namely a deficit of knowledge about balanced nutrition guidelines. All three families were given health education with video media on balanced nutrition guidelines. It was found that the three clients had better knowledge after being educated with videos about balanced nutrition guidelines. The use of videos as an educational medium can increase client knowledge about balanced nutrition guidelines. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a reference in carrying out family nursing practices and applying nursing care with video media in increasing the knowledge of mothers with toddlers
