Abstract

This study discusses the role of the social community of Indonesian study friends in improving the education of poor children in River Rengas District. The formulation of the problem in this research is what is the role of the social community of Indonesian learning friends in improving the education of poor children in River Rengas District. The theory used in this study is the role theory of Soerjono Soekanto. This research uses qualitative research. Data analysis techniques using interview techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Indonesian Learning Friends Community which focuses on education and social affairs has a positive role in education in River Rengas Gandus District. Children are more enthusiastic in receiving learning both in formal and non-formal classes with the Indonesian Learning Companions who are teaching staff at Sungai Rengas.
