Abstract

Efforts to increase public awareness of the plastic waste problem in Sungsang II Village, Banyuasin Regency. The main focus is a lack of understanding of the dangers of throwing away plastic waste. As a solution, training was carried out on making ecobricks to reduce the impact of plastic waste. This activity involved students from SMAN 1 Banyuasin II using methods of recognizing needs, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating. This activity also involved Marine Science studeEfforts to increase public awareness of the plastic waste problem in Sungsang II Village, Banyuasin Regency. The results show an increase in students' understanding of SMAN 1 Banyuasin II regarding the use of plastic waste into ecobricks. Thus, it is hoped that this activity can make a positive contribution in overcoming the plastic waste problem in Sungsang II Village.nts, with support from lecturers in the Marine Science study program at FMIPA Unsri.
