Abstract

Age is one of the factors that affecting the quality of semen, the quality of cement can be determined by knowing volume, pH, motility and concentration. The aims of this experiment were to study the comparison of semen quality on Boer ram with different ages this experiment were held on August to September 2017 at Artificial Insemination Hall, Lembang Bandung. This experiment were analyzed by using T test, that consisted of four years old and five years old Boer ram treatments. The parameter were observed were volume, pH, motility, and concentration. The results of this study showed four years old Boer ram have a volume of 2.44 ml, pH 6.74, concentration of 2281.60 million spermatozoa/ml cells and motility 64.95 %. The five was old Boer ram has a volume of 2.64 ml, pH 6.76, a concentration of 2191.68 million spermatozoa cells per ml and motility 49.94%. The conclusion of this research is the quality of Boer ram four year and five year Boer ram have no effect on volume, pH and concentration, but have an effect on motility.
