Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability to order numbers in children aged 4-5 years, namely the low ability of children in the ability to recognize numbers, write numbers, name numbers, and arrange Loose Parts materials in the correct order. This research aims to improve the number ordering ability of children aged 4-5 years using Loose Parts materials at the Pembina Tanjung Batu State Kindergarten. This research is classroom action research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subjects of this research were 16 children aged 4-5 years, consisting of 6 boys and 10 girls. The object studied is the ability to sort numbers using Loose Parts material. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation. he data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive. The research results show that the use of Loose Parts materials can improve the ability to sort numbers. This increase can be seen from the initial condition that the ability to sort numbers of children aged 4-5 years is in the very well developed category in the Pre-Cycle at 6.25%, in Cycle I the percentage was 18.75%, and in Cycle II it exceeded 75% as an indicator of success.
