Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh gender diversity terhadap profitabilitas bank di negara ASEAN – 5. Studi ini mengumpulkan data dari 80 bank komersial yang terdaftar di Bankfocus dari tahun 2011 hingga 2022. Penelitan dilakukan dengan estimasi fixed effect model (FEM) yang menunjukkan hubungan antara gender diversity terhadap profitabilitas bank di negara ASEAN- 5. Profitabilitas bank diproksikan dengan Return on Assets (ROA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gender diversity dewan direksi dan gender diversity manajer tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Selain itu studi ini juga melakukan penelitian menggunakan variabel kontrol berdasarkan ukuran bank dan ukuran direksi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ukuran bank tidak berpengaruh terhadap ROA. Sedangkan ukuran direksi juga tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah mencari data jumlah dewan perempuan di direksi dan manajer yang harus dihitung dan dicari secara manual.
