Abstract
This research is research and development type (Research and Development) using a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) which aims to develop CNC Milling Simulator for Android Guidebook on advanced CNC courses that are valid and practical. The research was carried out in the odd semester of 2023 at the Multimedia Laboratory of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The research subjects were active students of Mechanical Engineering Education of Sriwijaya University who had taken advanced CNC courses. The research object is CNC Milling Simulator for Android Guidebook. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The results of this research are 1) Validation performed by material experts get an average value of 3.87 which is included in the valid category and from media experts get an average value of 4.4 which is included in the very valid category so it can be concluded that the CNC Milling Simulator for Android Guidebook is valid from the material and media aspects. 2) The results of the user's practicality assessment from 30 Mechanical Engineering Education students who have taken advanced CNC courses get an average value of 4.09 which is included in the practical category so that the CNC Milling Simulator for Android Guidebook is practical to use. So, the developed CNC Milling Simulator for Android Guidebook can be categorized as valid in feasibility and practical to use.
